> BUYING RESOURCES ONLINE

How do we find resources that will be awesome for our therapy room or for our families?

It can be hard to remember where you see awesome resources, especially when seeing children with less common presentations. We have put together a list of some of our favourite shops.

Sensabilities

SenseAbilities contains equipment and resources designed to assist with the sensory motor development of children. It provides supplies for parents, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Physiotherapists, Teachers and other allied health professionals, as well as to people wanting to have a little fun with sensory toys.

Sensory Tools

Sensory Tools offers leading-edge treatment courses and products that specifically address issues associated with Sensory Processing, Autism, Asperger’s, ADD/ADHD, Learning Difficulties, Behavioural and other Developmental Challenges.

My Diffability Australia

My Diffability Australia provides resources and special needs toys for children, adolescents and adults, including those with issues and differences in areas like speech, communication, sensory processing, and social, gross and fine motor skills.

Social Thinking Australia

This website offers a wide range of products available for order that all revolve around learning and teaching social skills. A good site when looking at teaching those “bright but socially clueless students” that needed more information than just what social skill to use. They needed to know why they should bother to use that skill.

Abilitations

The Abilitations mission is to provide therapists, educators and parents with the best practice products and solutions possible to ensure success. The product line includes tools for positioning and mobility, fine motor, sensory processing and language/communication skills.

Tasks Galore

Educators in public school systems, home education settings, private therapeutic settings and federally funded programs across the country have discovered how useful the Tasks Galore can be in developing individualised opportunities to enhance student achievement.

Sensory Matters

Sensory Matters is a wonderful wesbite with lots of great tools that can help out all of our sensory seeker and avoiders. If you have any questions, I would recommend talking to Julie - she is a super experienced OT and loves the sensory aspect of our kidlets!

St Luke Innovative Resources

A great website with LOADS AND LOADS of great equipment and resources - lots of interesting and great resources that support families. This link is for the "Growing Cards" a personal favorite!
